# A job form says your photos are too large

Job portals, government forms, and school applications often refuse a photo that is only a little over the limit. SizeCap helps when you need that file — or several files — to fit before you click submit.

## When this helps a lot

- The form rejects one ID or portrait photo for being too many KB.
- You have to attach a photo plus a scan, and the portal counts them together.
- You are sending the same pictures to more than one application and keep hitting the same size wall.

## One photo or several?

If the form limits *each* file, add one photo at a time. Change the unit to KB and enter a number a little under the stated limit. For a 200 KB rule, try 190 KB. Sites do not always count a kilobyte the same way.

If the form limits *all* uploads together, add every photo and set one total. That is the job SizeCap is built for.

1. Add the photo or photos. JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP, and AVIF work. HEIC from many phones does not.
2. Enter the limit from the form, then leave a little room.
3. Compress and open the JPEG. Check that a face, stamp, or line of text is still clear.
4. Save the file and attach the downloaded copy, not the original.

## What SizeCap will not do

It does not crop to a passport size, change a background, or match an exact width and height. Do that in an image editor first if the form asks for it. Transparent areas become white, and the result is always JPEG.
