Fit several photos under one size limit
Some websites limit how much space all your photos can take up together. Making each photo a little smaller might not be enough. With SizeCap, you choose one total limit and let the tool adjust the whole group.
Need three photos to fit within 5 MB?
Add all three photos, enter 5, leave the unit set to MB, and click “Compress to size cap.” SizeCap will try to make JPEGs that add up to no more than 5 MB.
That’s 5 MB for all three photos together. They won’t necessarily be the same size: a detailed photo can take more space than a simple one, even with the same quality and resizing settings.
- Add your photos. You can use JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP, or AVIF.
- Enter the total size you need in MB or KB.
- Compress and check the result. If the photos are still too large, try fewer photos or a higher limit.
- Download the JPEGs separately or together in a ZIP. Open them to check that you’re happy with the detail.
Here’s what happened with our sample photos
We tried three photos totaling about 5 MB with a much smaller limit of 0.1 MB. SizeCap brought them down to about 100 KB altogether. To get there, it reduced their dimensions to roughly a quarter of the originals and used a JPEG quality setting of 32.

This was a tight limit, so the smaller files lost detail. Your results will depend on the photos, the limit you choose, and your browser.
Exact results from this test
Tested in Chrome on September 8, 2026. The originals totaled 5,192,742 bytes; the JPEGs totaled 102,577 bytes. The output files were 34,906, 40,443, and 27,228 bytes. The limit was 0.1 MB, or about 104,857 bytes.
Leave a little room for ZIP files
The limit covers the JPEGs themselves. A ZIP adds a little extra space to keep the files together. If you need to send a ZIP, choose a slightly lower limit and check the downloaded archive’s size.
Websites can also count MB differently. SizeCap uses 1,024 bytes per KB and 1,048,576 bytes per MB; some sites use 1,000,000 bytes per MB. If a site has a strict 5 MB limit, try 4.7 MB here and check the file you plan to send.
